王彦鑫是一位不断用身体体验、探索世界的行为艺术家，对行为语言极为敏感，注重在场性的思考和行动与环境、场域、记忆、时间、历史发生关系，他的创作给人一种混合着个人英雄主义的豪迈感和戏谑游戏的亢奋感，它们通常以类似短幕剧的形式展开，随即会让人陷入莫名的悲伤，自我惩罚、挑衅观众或者惊吓与戏谑是他常用的方法，情绪在他强劲的行动和决绝的意志以及黑色幽默间蔓延，同时对于逝去的生命与记忆有着特殊的情绪，野性与悲情，构成他身体内在的张力。

Wang Yanxin is a performance artist who constantly explores and experiences the world through his body. He is highly sensitive to the language of performance, focusing on the presence of the moment and the relationships between action, environment, context, memory, time, and history. His work combines a sense of personal heroism with an exhilaration of playful irony, often unfolding in short, episodic scenes. These performances tend to evoke an inexplicable sadness, and self-punishment, provocation, shocking, or playful mockery are common methods he employs. Emotions spread across his strong actions, resolute will, and black humor, while he also harbors a special sentiment towards lost lives and memories—wildness and melancholy—that form the inner tension of his body.

He has won several awards, including the SAYA Elite International Young Artist Annual Special Award at Chengdu Contemporary Art Museum (2017), was a finalist for the Macau VAFA International Video Art Festival (2018), and received the First Prize at the 9th New Star Art Awards (2019) and the 2010-2019 New Star Ten-Year Youth Art Award (2020).
