In my recent works, LED cold light has become a key material for exploring the relationship between space and memory. The sense of emptiness and the abstract lines created by the cold light seem to evoke a body drifting in the dark, expressing the rupture and disappearance of history and personal memory over time. These lights resemble fragments abandoned by history, as if memories are drifting away from the backdrop of a grand era—both present and elusive.

This series of works traces a journey from public space to compressed space, and then into abstract space. As space is continually compressed and distances gradually diminish, I began to question the very essence of space itself—when we compress space and blur the lines of distance, what remains? What do we leave behind when space is lost? Memory and history are not merely echoes of the past but are deeply intertwined with the present and with my personal circumstances.

The core of my creation is not to construct a concrete scene or to use complex technical tools, but to present a state, a symbol, through bodily actions. This state is prompted by my perception of the surrounding memories, history, and circumstances. Through these abstract symbols and forms, I seek to question the loss of memory and history, while reflecting on the present situation and the fluidity of time and space.
